My Children's Day Care Frequent Asked Questions
What ages do you accept?
We welcome children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. Our programs support infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children with age-appropriate learning, play, and care.
What are your hours?
We are open Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, offering flexible full-time, part-time, and after-school options to meet the needs of busy Yonkers families.
Is My Children’s Day Care licensed?
Yes. We are fully licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) and follow all Department of Health guidelines. Our facilities are inspected and approved by the Fire Department, Buildings Department, and Bureau of Child Care.
What curriculum do you use?
Our program blends play-based learning with early academics. Children explore early literacy, counting, music and movement, sensory play, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and social-emotional skills. Every day is designed to spark creativity, confidence, and curiosity.
Do you provide meals?
Yes! We serve nutritious, home-style meals and snacks each day. We follow DOH nutrition guidelines and accommodate food allergies, sensitivities, and cultural preferences.
Can you support children with allergies or asthma?
Absolutely. Our staff is trained in First Aid, CPR, and Medication Administration (MAT). We work with parents to create clear emergency action plans and ensure safe, attentive care for children with asthma, allergies, and other health considerations.
Do you offer bilingual learning?
Yes. Our team includes bilingual caregivers, and children are exposed to English and Spanish throughout the day through songs, stories, conversations, and play. Early language exposure helps build confidence and communication skills.
Do you accept children with special needs?
Yes. We are proud to provide an inclusive environment and comply with ADA Title III. We collaborate with specialists and parents to support children with IEPs and provide individualized care and learning.
How do I enroll my child?
You can begin by scheduling a tour. During your visit, we’ll walk you through our programs, availability, tuition, and enrollment steps. Once ready, you’ll complete your registration forms and required health documents to secure your child’s spot.
Do you offer financial assistance or scholarships?
Yes — we work with families to find options that fit their needs, including payment plans and programs available to qualifying families.
