Encouraging movement and coordination - Familiar songs and nursery rhymes coupled with hand clapping, swaying, jumping, mirror playing and dancing awakens children.

Learning texture, touch and the changing states of the materials - Play dough is a firm favorite. Sand and water are natural materials essential to any preschool - Children heap, empty, pour, fill, patt, sieve and create.

Creating and playing fantasies - preschoolers are little fountains of imagination and love to act out everyday events. We use props and sound effects, to bring their stories to life.

Storytime - Reading is an integral part of our day care experience .  Kids also have a chance to tell stories and create adventures focusing on their topics of interest.

Art - Our painting activities are not confined to a easel/paint brush setting.  Finger, foot and blowing painting, tooth brushes, paint rollers and stamping – children explore all angles of this wonderful experience.

adalogoMy Children's Day Care comply with title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act ADA  providing children and parents with disabilities an equal opportunity to participate in our  services.

Our care givers are organized, patient, able to motivate students, understanding of their students' special needs, and accepting of differences in others.

Common disabilities like speech or language impairments, mental retardation, emotional disturbance, multiple disabilities, hearing impairments, orthopedic impairments, visual impairments, autism, combined deafness and blindness, traumatic brain injury, and other health impairments - may qualify individuals for special programs.

Students maybe identified under one or more categories. Early dentification of a child with special needs is important, because early intervention matters to the success of children with disabilities. Special education teachers help us to set goals and develop an Individualized Education Program (IEP) tailored to his/her individual needs and abilities.

Most children in the United States younger than age 6 spend significant time in child care settings outside their home. To keep children safe and healthy is My Children's Day Care main goal, but despite the all our best care practices, inevitably children may still get sick.

That's why we work together with concerned parents to minimize occurences, by preventing and/or preparing for illnesses ahead of time. Thinking of the larger common good, My Children's Day Care request all children applying to enroll in our programs, to receive a thorough medical examination within 90 days prior to admission, and evidence of at least an annual physical examination thereafter.

All children must be immunized against diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus (i.e., DPT), polio, measles, mumps, rubella, and have any additional immunizations that the Health Department may require.

As licensed/ registered day care providers, we are in compliance with the Health and Infection Control regulations. My Children's Day Care is authorized to administer medications, if needed. Our health care plan meet the needs of the children in our care.
